Buff Orpington

The Buff Orpington is a British breed of Chicken. They are a dual-purpose breed reared both for eggs and meat. Here at Langkloof our free-range Buffs are just a delight as they brighten up every day with their gentle temperament and buff-coloured plumage. We decided to breed with them since they are large yet amiable birds, that respond well to attention. They are fast-growing, have a high egg-yield, and are suitable for meat as well. Because of their good egg-yield, we are able to harvest their eggs and use them within our households on the farm. These free-range farm eggs are available to guests for purchase. We aim to breed beautiful, healthy chickens that we can be proud of at Langkloof.
